Forbes Magazine recently published its first ever "Most Innovative Cities" list - and Boise was listed as #16 in the nation. For their ranking, they started with the 100 largest metropolitan statistical areas in the U.S. and used data from the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to determine number of patents per capita. Then they combined it with venture capital investment per capita from the National Venture Capital Association, along with those cities' ratios of high-tech, science and "creative" jobs.
Of course Silicon Valley in California captured several of the top spots, but Boise surpassed such cities as Denver, Tuscon, and New York City (which didn't even make the top 20). The atmosphere in Boise is entrepreneial, and there are opportunities for those that want to own their own business, invent something new - or practice medicine with an innovative medical group.
Boise proves over and over again - it's a great place to WORK and LIVE. Find out more today by emailing information@primaryhealth.com.
